This specification covers aluminum alloy sheet and plate (see 8.5) in thicknesses from 0.009 to 1.000 in. (0.23 to 25.40 mm). These products are generally used for parts requiring moderate forming, good welding characteristics, and corrosion resistance, but use is not limited to such applications.
