This standard specifies the terms odor, antibacterial, anti-odor, antibacterial anti-odor and anti-bacterial anti-odor socks. This standard specifies the safety and hygiene requirements and antibacterial and deodorizing properties of antibacterial and deodorant socks. Other properties of antibacterial and anti-odor socks should comply with corresponding national and industry standards. This standard applies to socks made of natural fibers, chemical fibers and their blends or interweaving, and treated with antibacterial and deodorant treatments. This standard does not apply to socks for infants and young children under 36 months of age.
