Scope

This standard specifies the terms, definitions and abbreviations, detection principles, pre-experimental preparation, sample collection and storage of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) universal qRT-PCR method (Taqman probe method) and requirements for transportation, testing procedures and result determination. This standard applies to institutions that carry out severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) qRT-PCR detection technology by detecting SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in samples from patients with suspected infection.
