- Scope
- This standard applies to locomotives that fully or partially use liquefied natural gas (hereinafter referred to as LNG) as fuel, tender (booster) sections for storage and delivery of LNG and establishes a method for testing the gas treatment system as part of these locomotives in order to determine the time of drainless storage of LNG and losses of LNG during storage. This standard may be applied to special self-propelled rolling stock using LNG as a fuel in whole or in part.
