- Scope
- This standard specifies the type test requirements for valves for fugitive media, as well as the classification and appraisal procedures for fugitive tests. This standard is applicable to shut-off valves and control valves whose medium will produce volatile polluting gases or dangerous fluid media, and specifies the test procedures for the evaluation of the leakage of valve stem seals and valve body seals. This standard does not apply to valve end connection leakage, as well as vacuum, corrosion and radiation conditions.
