- Scope
- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage and quality commitments of pressurized steam electric irons (hereinafter referred to as electric irons). This standard applies to electric irons with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V and a separate water tank or evaporator with a capacity of not less than 1 L and not more than 5 L. This standard does not apply to: a) Electric irons designed for industrial use; b) Electric irons intended to be used in special environments where corrosive or explosive gases (such as dust, steam or gas) are often generated.
