GB14866-2023 Standard Overview
GB14866-2023 "General Technical Specifications for Eye and Face Protectors" is the latest revised important standard for eye and face protection products in my country, aiming to protect the wearer's eyes or face safety in production and life. This standard replaces GB14866-2006 and GB32166.1-2016, and adds a number of technical requirements and testing methods.

Geometric optical performance:New field of view requirements, the field of view requirements for eye and face protection products suitable for road driving are more stringent, the horizontal temporal field of view is not less than 60°, and the vertical direction is not less than 30° up and down.
Physical optical performance:New specific indicators are added for visible light transmittance, transmittance uniformity, scattered light and reflectance. For example, the transmittance of products without filtering effect is not less than 85%, and the reflectance of coated products does not exceed 2.5%.
Mechanical performance:New high-speed particle impact protection levels are divided into low speed (45m/s), medium speed (80m/s) and high speed (120m/s), and the corresponding protection area size requirements are clarified. For example, high-speed impact products need to cover the facial protection area, ensuring that the minimum vertical distance from the nose tip to the side edge of the protection area is not less than 49mm.
