Scope: 1.1 This guide covers criteria for a complete sediment data set. 1.2 This guide provides guidelines for the collection of non-cohesive sediment alluvial data. 1.3 This guide describes what parameters should be measured and stored to obtain a complete sediment and hydraulic data set that could be used to compute sediment transport using any prominently known sediment-transport equations. 1.4 The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as standard. No other units of measurement are included in this standard. 1.5 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use.
