Scope

This document specifies the basic requirements, numbering rules and numbering applications for consumer product recall numbers. This document applies to the identification and management of consumer product recall activities. This document does not apply to food, medicine, cosmetics, medical equipment, medical consumables, tobacco products, motor vehicles, special equipment, fireworks, firecrackers, aircraft, ships and other products.
