Scope
1. SCOPe 1.1 These requirements apply to the installation of equipment and wiring of closed circuit surveillance cameras and associated video equipment. The intent is to set regulations to help assure efficiency of installed systems in order to maintain the quality of the final video image. 1.2 CCVE systems are divided into four different applications which depend on the desired image size required for the particular application. Item 'ii' from each application (A, B, C, or D) shall be met: A Detection: (i) A CCVE system which provides for detection shall be set up to "detect any change in the defined field of view", (ii) A human target (image) in a detection CCVE system shall represent a minimum of 9% of the vertical height of the picture as displayed on the monitor; B Classification: (i) A CCVE system which provides for classification shall be set up to allow the viewer to differentiate between "a human target and an object or an animal", (ii) A human target (image) in a classification CCVE system shall represent a minimum of 17% of the vertical height of the picture as displayed on the monitor; C Assessment: (i) A CCVE system which provides for assessment shall be set up to allow the viewer to be able to assess the type of target (image) including characteristics which may distinguish the target (image) from similar targets (images), (ii) A human target (image) or an object, in an assessment CCVE system shall represent a minimum of 26% of the vertical height of the picture as displayed on the monitor; or D Recognition: (i) A CCVE system which provides for recognition shall be set up to allow the viewer to be able to recognize the human target head (image) including characteristics which shall lead to the identity of the human target head (image). (ii) The human target head (image) in a recognition CCVe system shall represent a minimum of 22% of the vertical height of the picture as displayed on the monitor.
