Scope

This standard applies to the transliteration of letters of the Cyrillic alphabet by letters of the Latin alphabet in the field of scientific and technical information and establishes a correspondence between the letters of the Cyrillic alphabet used in the Russian, Ukrainian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Serbo-Croatian (in its Cyrillic written version) and Mongolian languages, and letters of the Latin alphabet
