This standard puts forward the general requirements for self-monitoring of pollutant discharge units in the petrochemical industry, the basic content and requirements for the development of monitoring plans, information recording and reporting. This standard is applicable to the petrochemical industry and synthetic resin industry (except polyvinyl chloride resin production equipment) pollutant emission units to monitor the water and gas pollutants, noise and the impact on the quality of the surrounding environment during the production and operation stage. The self-monitoring requirements for self-owned thermal power generating units (factories) and supporting power boilers of pollutant discharge units shall be implemented in accordance with HJ820.
