- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of document information management for highway engineering construction projects, document management objectives, document management and control, document management systems and metadata. This standard applies to the management of documents in all formats or carriers formed or received by all entities involved in highway construction projects during the course of highway construction activities, including highways, independent bridges, tunnels and Level 2 or above (including Level 2) National and provincial trunk highway construction projects. The document management of third-level and lower-level highways can be implemented by reference.
