Scope: This document specifies the design requirements and strength calculation methods for pressure components of shell boilers, and specifies the test and finite element analysis verification methods for determining the maximum allowable working pressure of the components. This document applies to the design of pressure components of shell boilers defined in GB/T16508.1 [including cylindrical components that bear internal (external) pressure, heads, tube sheets, end covers, lower foot rings, etc.] and braces.
