- This document specifies the principles, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, sample processing, spectral testing, spectral analysis and result reporting for the determination of plastic microbeads in cosmetics using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and Fourier transform microinfrared spectroscopy. This document is suitable for the determination of plastic microbeads in cosmetics. Other daily chemical products such as toothpaste, soap, laundry detergent, etc. can be used as a reference. This document does not apply to the determination of plastic microbeads in color cosmetics.
