- This document specifies test instruments and test methods for the determination of organic content of thermal insulation materials for buildings. This document is applicable to the determination of organic content in inorganic materials, such as thermal insulation materials with or without veneers that contain a small amount of organic components. This document is not applicable to the determination of organic content of materials containing carbohydrates and/or carbonates and sulfates. This document does not apply to the determination of organic content in products such as adhesives, veneers and coatings.
