- This standard specifies the requirements for product design, materials, quality evaluation, test methods, quality control, manufacturing, heat treatment, sterilization, packaging, and information provided by manufacturers for personalized dental implants based on 3D printing processing technology. This standard is applicable to the design and manufacturing specifications for implantable medical devices that are surgically implanted into the jaw to support denture retention and stability for people with clinical needs and individual needs. The 3D printed personalized dental implants referred to in this standard do not include specially designed medical devices such as bio-3D printing containing pharmaceutical ingredients, cells, tissues and other bioactive substances.
