The standard applies to undissolved substances in drinking and surface water. For sampling, reference is made to NVN 5625. The methods described are suitable for accident situations, but can also be used for background monitoring. After the sample preparation described in this preliminary standard, the sample is suitable for various measurements, for example measurement of gamma activity according to NVN 5623 or NVN 5629 or for measurement of specific radionuclides (for example according to NVN 5637).
