Scope
Thisstandardgivesguidelinesforthestandardizeddescriptionofimmunoassaysorreceptorassaysforthedetectionofantimicrobialresiduesinmilkandmilkproducts.Itisintendedtoprovideaframeworkandbasisfortheevaluation/validationoftestsbasedonthebindingofanantimicrobialcompoundtoitsspecificantibodyortoothertypesofdetectingmolecules.Inadditiontoimmunoassays[e.g.enzyme-immunoassay(EIA)andradioimmunoassay(RIA)],thereareseveralquantitative,semi-quantitativeandqualitativetestformatsbasedonthebindingofantimicrobialcompoundstomicrobialreceptorsortoreceptorproteins.Enzymaticassaysandparticle-basedassaysbasedonreceptorproteinsarereferredtoasreceptorassaysinISO18330:2003.StandardonlyavailableinEnglish.
