- This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of vacuum compression storage bags (hereinafter referred to as "storage bags"). This standard applies to bags made of materials such as polyethylene (PE), nylon (PA) or polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which are used to store items through vacuum compression. This standard does not apply to packaging bags containing food.
