Scope
This Part applies to Fuses for Photovoltaic (PV) Systems rated to 1500 Vdc. Fuses for Photovoltaic (PV) Systems are intended to be used for the protection of photovoltaic strings or arrays and their associated wiring to provide protection against overloads or short circuits within the marked electrical ratings. These types of fuses are not intended to protect downstream inverter components@ such as capacitors or the discharge of such capacitors back into the arrays. These fuses may have integral wiring terminations intended for in-line connection in a photovoltaic system@ such as connection to or between PV modules or panels. Fuses that meet another Part shall also comply with those requirements of that Part.
