- This document specifies the basic requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage and quality commitment requirements for hot-rolled cylindrical spiral compression springs (referred to as springs) for high-voltage switchgear. This document is applicable to springs for high-voltage switchgear that have been hot-rolled from round-section steel rods and then quenched and tempered. The spring dimensions are as follows. Spring sizes exceeding this size can be adopted after negotiation between the supplier and the buyer: ——Free height: ≤ 800 mm; ——Swing ratio: 4～10; ——Height to diameter ratio: 0.8～4; ——Effective number of turns: ≥3 turns; ——Pitch: <0.5 D; ——Material diameter: 16 mm～40 mm; ——Spring diameter: ≤400 mm.
