- This standard specifies the basic principles and related design methods for the foundation design of overhead power transmission line poles and towers. This standard applies to the basic design of newly built 35kV ~ 500kV overhead power transmission line poles and towers. The design of other voltage levels and communication tower foundations may refer to this standard. The foundation of temporary overhead power transmission line poles and towers can be designed with reference to this standard, but the standard can be appropriately lowered. The renovation of original overhead power transmission lines and the reconstruction of tower foundations can be checked or designed with reference to this standard based on specific conditions and existing line operation experience.
