- This standard specifies the method for using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to determine the wax precipitation thermal characteristic parameters of crude oil such as wax precipitation point, wax precipitation peak temperature, wax precipitation peak temperature range, and wax precipitation hot melt. This standard is applicable to the determination of the waxing heat characteristic parameters of crude oil with a water content of less than 0.5%, and is also applicable to the determination of the waxing heat characteristic parameters of stable petroleum products.
