- This standard specifies the structural type, base dimensions and technical requirements of the side basin ruler (hereinafter referred to as the measuring ruler) for the central height of the coupler of a rolling stock. This standard is applicable to the measuring ruler used to measure the vertical distance from the center line of the rolling stock coupler to the rail surface. It is also applicable to the measuring ruler used to measure the upturned and drooping head of the coupler on the measuring disk.
