Scope

This standard specifies the definition, symbols, requirements, test methods, quality classification, classification and naming, inspection rules and markings, packaging and storage of oil and gas drilling fluid cyclone separators. This standard applies to the design, manufacture and acceptance of drilling fluid cyclones used to control the solid content of drilling fluids in oil and gas drilling operations, as well as the desanders, desilters and microcyclones composed of them.
