Scope

This standard specifies two testing methods for the pile retention of pile fabrics, the weighing method (Method A) and the light transmission method (Method B). This standard is applicable to cut pile and raised fabrics, but not to brushed and raised fabrics, carpet fabrics and flocked fabrics.
