- This standard specifies the main mechanical interchangeable dimensions, tolerances, magnetic circuit dimensions (that is, effective parameter values) of EI-type magnetic cores made of magnetic oxides, and the dimensions of the coil bobbin used with it. Usually this type of magnetic core consists of E-type (Figure 1) and I-type (Figure 2), and are used in conjunction with each other. The magnetic cores listed in this standard are mainly suitable for various types of transformers, converters and chokes, and are also suitable for other occasions with the same or similar purposes.
