- 1.1 This standard applies to electrical equipment that is electrically connected by a power cord-plug and is marked with "double insulation" and whose rated voltage does not exceed 250V. This type of equipment is used in power supply branches with a ground potential not exceeding 150V in accordance with the "National Electrical Code". 1.2 Equipment marked "double insulation" shall comply with the relevant requirements of this standard and the standards for the specific type of equipment-end product. If an end product standard contains a requirement for double insulation, that standard should be given priority.
