Scope

This part specifies the requirements, inspection and determination of import and export power transformers, power supply units and similar devices. 1.1 This section applies to the following similar installations, as follows: a) Isolating and safety isolating transformers, standing or portable, single-phase or multi-phase air-cooled (natural or forced), supporting or other applications, and which are rated The voltage does not exceed 1000 Va. c. , the frequency does not exceed 1MHz, and the rated output does not exceed the following values: 　——For isolation transformer: 25kVA (single phase); 40kVA (polyphase); 　——For safety isolation transformer: 10kVA (single phase): 16kVA (polyphase); Its no-load output voltage and rated output voltage should not exceed the following values: 　——For isolation transformer: 500Va. c. Or 708Vd. c. (No ripple) - For safety isolation transformer: between any two conductors or between any conductor and the grounded conductor: 50Va. c. (root mean square value) or 120Vd. c. (No ripple). The ratings for each type of transformer are given in the relevant special requirements. b) Standing or portable single-phase or multi-phase air cooling (natural or forced) supporting or non-matching separation transformers, automatic transformers, adjustable transformers and small reactors, and the rated supply voltage does not exceed 1000Va. c. , frequency does not exceed 1MHz, rated load or no-load voltage does not exceed 15kVa. c. Or 15kVd. c. , and the output is not greater than 50Va. c. Or 120Vd. c. (ripple-free) independent transformer, and the rated output does not exceed the following values: 　——for single-phase transformer: 1kVA; 　——for single-phase reactor: 2kVAR; 　——for multi-phase transformer: 5kVA; 　——for multi-phase transformer: 5kVA Phase reactor: 10kVAR. c) A power supply unit including a transformer as described in item a) or b) above. 1.2 This section also applies to dry-type transformers, the windings of which may be enclosed or unenclosed. This Part also applies to specific items of equipment related to transformers, the scope of which is to be determined by the appropriate IEC Technical Committee. Transformers including electronic circuits are also subject to this standard. This section does not apply to external circuits and their components connected to the output terminals or sockets of the transformer.
