Scope

This standard specifies the instruments and equipment, sample preparation, test procedures, test records, etc. used for radiation drop tests on non-metallic materials for railway vehicles (hereinafter referred to as materials). This standard applies to fusible materials of various thicknesses that are confirmed to be fusible by electric burner testing or radiation testing. This standard does not apply to wall and floor coatings.
