Scope

This standard specifies the method for measuring the gas breakthrough pressure of rocks under saturated fluid conditions. This standard is applicable to the determination of breakthrough pressure of tight sandstone, shale, and carbonate rock samples. Other samples such as salt rock, gypsum rock, and tuff can also be used for reference.
