This standard specifies the requirements for specimens, test equipment, test conditions, test procedures, and determination of beta transition temperature of titanium alloys using differential thermal analysis (DTA). This standard is applicable to the use of differential thermal analysis to determine the beta transition temperature of various types of titanium alloys in daily production and scientific research work. The accuracy of the beta transition temperature measured according to this method is ±8°C.
