Scope

This standard specifies limits for the establishment and adjustment of mixed digital-analog telephone circuits. This standard applies to one or more mixed analog-to-digital telephone circuits with analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog conversion, which may be terminated at an analog or digital switch. This standard is a specification for the establishment and adjustment of input services and circuits. The main types of digital-analog hybrid circuits are shown in Appendix A.
