Scope
This standard specifies the technical requirements for 32×2.5Gbit/s WDM systems, targeting dense wavelength division multiplexing systems using shared erbium-doped fiber amplifier EDFA technology and fiber 1550nm windows. Its goal is to provide horizontal compatibility between different systems in the future, but currently it can only achieve partial horizontal compatibility. Some specific parameters given in this standard are for 32-channel WDM systems, such as wavelength division, optical interface parameters, etc. The parameters related to optical amplifiers and main optical channels in this standard are suitable for single-directional use with a gain range of 192.1THz~196.1THz. optical amplifier for WDM systems. This standard specifies the requirements for point-to-point linear WDM systems and linear structures applied in OADM, and does not consider the application of OADM equipment in ring networks. This standard is applicable to the 32×2.5Gbit/s WDW system, that is, the application of the 32-channel single-fiber unidirectional WDM system in the trunk network based on the SDHSTM-16 rate. WpM systems that carry signals with other digital formats or rates can refer to implement. The optical interface parameter indicators specified in this standard are applicable to the conventional G.652 optical cable system with a zero dispersion window of 1310mm, and can be implemented as a reference for the non-zero dispersion displacement (G.655) optical cable system.
