- This standard specifies the terminology, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules and signs, labels, instructions for use, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for medical diagnostic X-ray tomography devices (hereinafter referred to as tomography devices). This standard applies to medical diagnostic X-ray devices for longitudinal tomography. The device can be used by medical units for general tomography and multi-slice tomography. This standard does not apply to computed tomography (CT) and maxillofacial tomography devices.
