- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage requirements for high friction coefficient synthetic brake shoes for railway freight cars. This standard applies to high friction coefficient synthetic brake shoes (hereinafter referred to as high friction synthetic brake shoes) for railway freight cars with running speeds lower than or equal to 120km/h. Note: Gaokang synthetic brake shoes are special-purpose brake shoes. Special steel-backed Gaomi synthetic brake shoes should be used and cannot be interchanged with general-purpose brake shoes (medium cast iron brake shoes, Libang cast iron castration shoes and low friction coefficient synthetic brake shoes) use.
