- This standard specifies the allowable ranges of the structure, core structure, internal oxide layer and surface decarburization layer of gear carburizing and quenching, as well as their corresponding classification diagrams and inspection and acceptance methods. This standard is applicable to the metallographic structure inspection of carburized and hardened gears for locomotive traction made of 20CrMnMo, 20CrMnTi, 12CrNi3, 15CrNi6 and other steels.
