Scope

This standard specifies the methods, basic requirements, test procedures, data processing and evaluation methods for impact testing of railway vehicles. This standard is applicable to newly designed general-purpose passenger and freight vehicles for standard-gauge railways. Special-purpose passenger and freight vehicles shall comply with this standard unless special requirements are specified in the design assignment or proposal.
