Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, position test rules and markings for high phosphorus cast iron brake shoes (hereinafter referred to as brake shoes). This standard applies to outer tile back brake shoes containing phosphorus of up to 2.0%-2.5% for railway passenger and freight vehicles.
