Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection rules and rating standards for the metallographic structure of alloy gray cast iron single-piece cast piston rings for diesel locomotive diesel engines. This standard applies to niobium-containing and non-niobium-containing chromium-molybdenum-copper-vanadium alloy cast iron single-piece piston rings with a cylinder diameter equal to or greater than 180 mm.
