- This standard provides guidelines and procedures for the entire process of characteristic testing of electric submersible pumps, with the purpose of establishing product consistency. This standard applies to most general-purpose electric submersible pumps. This standard is applicable to manufacturers, sellers or users who conduct acceptance tests of electric submersible pumps to verify whether they meet the minimum requirements specified below. This standard does not cover other components of the submersible electric pump system.
