Scope

This standard specifies the integrity requirements and inspection and evaluation methods of oxidation furnaces. This standard applies to equipment for oxidizing cathode parts of electron guns of picture tubes under the action of wet hydrogen. This standard does not apply to oxidation furnaces using non-wet hydrogen and other uses.
