- This standard specifies the general terminology for temperature control devices for quartz crystal components and describes the terminology of temperature control devices with fixed internal (crystal cavity) temperature and methods for measuring their performance. In addition, test instructions and some general structural requirements for crystal temperature control devices are given. This standard also provides standard values and allowable deviations for certain basic performance and ratings of temperature control devices, as well as marking methods. Note: Similar temperature control devices have a variety of uses in circuits. However, it should be pointed out that this standard is only applicable to the temperature control of quartz crystal components; for other applications, its special requirements and characteristics should be fully considered.
