- This standard specifies an ear canal cavity simulator used to calibrate the sound pressure at the eardrum of the human ear in the frequency range of 100 to 10000 Hz. The design of this simulator also lays the foundation for further simulating the complete ear canal for calibration of open-mode devices or similar devices in the future. Documentation for such analog devices is under consideration. This standard quotes the SJ/Z 9144-87 (IEC No. 126) standard: IEC reference coupling cavity for measuring hearing aid earplug machines.
