Scope
1.1 This Standard applies to low-voltage fuses rated 1000 V or less, AC and/or DC, with interrupting ratings up to 300 kA (200 kA for Mexico). These fuses are intended to be used in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, CSA C22.1, NOM – 001, Mexican Electrical Code, and the National Electrical Code, NFPA 70. 1.2 This Standard and its subsequent Parts establish the characteristics, construction, operating conditions, markings, and test conditions for each of the fuse classes so that initial investigation and follow-up verification can be performed in an orderly manner. The titles of the Clauses in this Part 1 correspond to the similarly titled Clauses in subsequent Parts. 2 Referenced Publications 2.1 Any undated reference to a code or standard appearing in the requirements of this Standard shall be interpreted as referring to the latest edition of that code or standard. 2.2 When a reference is made to a code or standard, the product shall comply with the code or standard of the country in which the product is intended to be used. 2.3 The following publications are referenced in this Standard:
