Scope

This standard specifies the codes, terminology, technical requirements, inspection rules and markings, packaging, transportation and storage of various air pressure control devices for automobiles and trailers. This standard is applicable to various control devices in automobile and trailer air circuit systems whose output air pressure changes with changes in operating force (or air pressure). Such as air brake valve, manual brake valve, relay valve, load sensing proportional valve, trailer brake valve and other devices.
