- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of 1# (naphthalene type) synthetic softener for leather making. This standard applies to aromatic synthetic tanning agents for tanning made from naphthalene, sulfuric acid and formaldehyde as base materials through sulfonation condensation and other processes. They are mainly used in the rinsing and other processes of vegetable tanned leather.
