Scope

This standard specifies the test method for thickness reduction of carpets after being subjected to moderate static loads for a short period of time. This standard applies to all carpets of the same thickness and construction. This standard does not apply to carpets with more than one thickness or structure at the same time, unless carpets of different thicknesses or structures can be tested separately.
