Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation and storage of polyester (PET) still beverage bottles (hereinafter referred to as "bottles"). This standard applies to still beverage bottles with a size of less than 2000 mL (including 2000 mL) produced using polyethylene terephthalate as raw material and using one-step or two-step processes of injection molding, stretching, and blow molding. This standard does not apply to hot-fill beverage bottles.
